Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem is a character collection, squad battler game where the player collects, upgrades and battle in both PvE and PvP situations to gather resources and improve their toons even further. Players can cooperate in alliances and participate in limited live events to collect new characters and gain exclusive bonuses!

My main responsibilities as a Game Designer:

  • Concept, implementation and delivery of mechanics, systems and features aligned with product and business needs;

  • Bridge gaps between art, code, UX, QA and production teams to align the vision and deliver such features;

  • Concept, design and configuration of new characters, their skills and synergies with the roster of characters available to the player, while coordinating with the art and product teams to deliver them;

  • Design and support to the engineering team on improvements of the battle system.

My contribution

When I joined the project I was one of the responsible for the design, balance and delivery of new characters that were inserted in the meta in the coming updates. I had to coordinate with the internal art and production teams to develop the characters from scratch, starting from a meta concept and their role within the game's roster. During that time, I also designed and configured multiple abilities and skills via an internal tool built to help designers do that.

After some months, I then started doing systems design work, where I would coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to design, implement and deliver new mechanics. This demanded coordination between art, engineering, UXI, product and design, in order to deliver the best player experience while aligned with business needs.
